Since I had booked last week itself, I decided to pray at Tirumala on the 25th. Many had advised me to postpone considering the huge influx expected due to a mammoth meeting on 26th in Tirupathi. To my great surprise, I did not see any unusual crowd in Tirupathi en route. Also Tirumala looked very empty unlike any of my earlier visits. But the Queue moved slowly inside and the darshan took two good hours. But this was not because of Chiranjeevi but because of the new chairman of TTD who was taking Oath and praying inside the Temple. People were blocked both in entry and exit causing tempers to raise. In fact I had to shout my way out, hoping that the new chairman will take care of the devotees interest at least from day two.

En route i could see volunteers raising cutouts and posters for the meeting in all roads but still nothing in a scale compared to Tamilnadu. Such a meeting if in Tamilnadu would have caused severe hardships to the residents at least for a week. Tirunelveli was paralysed at least for a week before the Stalin’s DMK show. A meeting for Vellore Metro inauguration saw all roads to and fro from vellore decorated by flags and banners and cutouts with lights and serials all amidst power shortage. Such is the frenzy in Tamilnadu. But I did not see any of this in Tirupathi.

I did see some newspapers mentioning expectation of a mammoth gathering and how special trains and buses are going to bring in lakhs for the inaugural convention. I also read in some dailies that hotels were overbooked, but I could see availability for many hotels on the 26Th in makemytrip.com.

That is why I see it as a great organisation. With very minimal hardships for the people in the city, A prajarajam was inagurated in a very typical marketing style. Round one of Chiranjeevi must be making the Naidus and Reddy’s very Jittery. A very perfect ten for this grand show. Every thing was very well orcastrated and the crowd was enough to create a national sensation. All TV Channels gave it prime spot and some even telecasted it live. Brand Chiru was very well announced . Now the future will depend on the next steps which going by so far looks good. Everyone accepts he will make a difference in the next polls. But by how much and will he make a next NTR are the moot questions. NTR had only one congress to fight, while Chiru has at least three formidable parties to face now.

Tamilnadu can learn a lesson or two from this praja. But it never will is also a fact. A meeting at 4.00 PM and bringing in crowds within twelve hours is by itself a great feat. !0 lakhs, by god is astonishing.

Then the villages around it were brought together.And then, the old and new townes linked up. And then we had the city.Today, Chennai stands tall for a variety of reasons. Education, health care, IT, history, tourism, auto industries, movies, etc.

It only for the4 past few years some NGO’s and Lions club are celebrating the city’s day by organising various events and awareness programs. The fact is not many even in Chennai know the significance of the day. Perhaps a few years down the lane we may see it celebrated with more pomp and show. Today none of the Tamil Channels are celebrating. Usually they celebrate any function be it religious or otherwise by screening some special movie and by bringing most of kollywood in the small screen. Today it is nothing special in any of the channels.

We have more than a dozen parties calling themselves some munnetra kazhagam and each have a channel or in the process of getting one. Now that their business is highly politicised in the State with many parties, power centres and other groups angling for their support , the cable operators suddenly are faced with an interesting predicament: ‘If we are so important to the State’s politics, why can’t we ourselves start a political party’.

Shakilan, president, Thamizhaga Cable TV Operators General Welfare Association today said that there was ‘a grave need for a political voice for us. Cable TV in India is set to go through a major transformation and consolidation over the next few years as a result of recommendations that the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has submitted to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting a month ago.

TRAI has recommended that by 2012 every cable network operator should stream digital quality video to every home. What does this mean?

* Digitisation of video implies stopping analog transmission altogether, including free-to-air channels.

*This will require the fragmented, unorganised cable TV operators will have to tie-up with triple play service providers such as Hathway, Digital Entertainment Network, You Telecom, Asia Net and others to form corporatised entities of a meaningful size.

*The next six months would see the roll out of various online value-added services like ‘pay-per-view,’ ‘red button initiatives’ and ‘video on demand.

*Voice over Internet protocol{VOIP} will take a couple of years more

*So within two to five years, we can be watching movies to surfing the Internet to even shopping and banking online, on our big fat flat screen TVs.

Big TV is the official DTH partner of the Indian Premier League for the next four years

Big TV DTH service would be available at 11,711 outlets, including 24 Reliance World and 92 Reliance Stores across 452 cities in Tamil Nadu.

A look out notice was issued on July 30Th and Delhi Airport was specially informed. In spite of this if Kenneth Haywood has escaped then it cannot be just a simple human error. It is simple common sense to infer that Kenneth Haywood could not have gone to the airport along with family unless ‘arrangement’ for his exit was made in advance. The obvious suspicion will be a tacit understanding between India and USA for his exit, which now both sides refute. So if that is true then some [ it cannot be one] Immigration officials plus police in the Airport must have safely ensured his exit. It is again common sense that this issue being high profile will blow up on their face and if it is true that the Government had no say in the matter they will be facing severe problems. Knowing this if they have connived in his exit then what must have been the consideration. Obviously it must have been considerable consideration for them to undertake such an anti national step. So again the question is why would Kenneth Haywood propose such a huge consideration unless there is something for him to fear by prolonged stay. It need not be necessarily about the Blasts. That he has already complained to his Web provider is proved, so may be that his computer was hacked is true but may be his other business deals in India was not worth thorough scrutiny and may be that fear resulted in his speedy exit?

Whoever hacked knows how to do it so why only his computer was chosen? Why is his MD of Campbell white also missing? How come no one in India knew about his exit for three good days?

Kenneth had in an Interview told that he has crores i9n loan and his business was suffering because of the police interrogation and it was getting difficult for him here. Obviously the Police should have kept a tab on him. In case if there are any loans he owes to Indian firms, the Government should facilitate recovery either from him or from the Immigration officials who helped him out. It is impossible for such a famous by now man to take a flight from Delhi airport without the Government knowledge. That too with family. He has taken a flight from Mumbai to Delhi by Jet Air how come no co passenger or aircrew are not interrogated by media so far?

Whenever I see Javed, I am some how remembered of Nasudreen shah in Sarfarosh. He and his wife talk as if they are the most secular in the country and use their eloquent skills for majority bashing whenever they get a chance. When Kashmir is in turmoil,these remarks by Shabana azmi in devils advocate is truly irresponsible and motivated. For long she was out of media and now she has used her this remarks to get limelight. Otherwise her accusation that she was not able to get a house because she is a Muslim is nothing but comedy. Why will anyone who is selling his property think who is the buyer if offered a right price. Or may be the neighbours might have forced them not to sell to her. In India many houses do not rent houses to bachelors because they are perceived as irresponsible and trouble makers. Though legally it is not allowed, legally it is also the right of the landlord to choose his tenant. Similarly the Muslims in India should make attempts to weed the trouble makers among them rather than adopt the holier than cow crap attitude.

Most of the terrorists all over the world belong to one faith, most smugglers, drug peddlers, and even most of the common criminals belong to the same faith. Why? this is for them to look into themselves and correct the cause and effect. It is because of these unscrupulous elements among them, whom they are not ready to discard for nonsecular consideration, who they are not ready to reform for nonsecular consideration again, which is responsible for the rest to look upon anyone from their faith with suspicion. This is not India specific, it is global phenomenon.

India has always been the most secular in identifying and appreciating any talent. Otherwise how can the just average Khans rule the Bollywood for so long. Salim, Javed, Shabana, Amir, Shahrukh, Salman, Irfan, Dilip Kumar, Kushboo, Farah,Zakir hussain, ghalam ali, saif ali kahan, etc in arts, Three presidents of India- Fahruddin ali ahmed, Zakir Hussain and Abdul Kalam[ the former two’s only credential for the post was their minority status], Cricketers- Patatudi, Azharudin, Zaheer khan, the pathan brothers, syed kirmani chief ministers Ghulam nabi azad, abdullah,Abdul Ghafoor, AR Antulay, etc, Many central ministers, many state ministers, etc etc have all rose to top because of minority appeasing and or India’s secular credentials or perhaps minority bullying. Many private enterprises like Wipro, Hamdarad, etc are headed by Muslims. The list is endless…

These appeased always look for more sops and that is what can be termed minority bullying. Shabana is a very irresponsible talented brat with a vicious intent is what I gather from her Interview. The Sachar committee which she refers is by itself a very controversial and politically motivated document. All it says is Muslims are under represented in Government which need not be because of any discrimination. It may be because they do not aspire for government posts. Why would they when most try to earn quick money by you know what.

They are more than represented in all illegal counts, if they make attempts to reduce it that itself will ensure correct representation of them in all counts. And that is the only way for them to get a respectable place in any society.
